We’ve worked hard to ensure your fair trade jewelry is as durable as it is beautiful, and proper care will keep it shining as bright as you are. Because our products are made using recycled materials, frequent wear can cause tarnish, and you can prevent this by avoiding showers and swims in your jewelry and keeping it stored safely in an airtight bag when not being worn. But if it needs a polish, no worries! You can clean it and make it look good as new in just a few minutes!

For our paper bead pieces, wipe the product with a damp cloth. Chains can be polished following the instructions for brass pieces.

For brass pieces, you can polish them with a brass cleaner (we love Weiman’s!) or to make your own polish by adding one teaspoon of salt to a half cup of vinegar and then adding enough flour to make it a paste. Leave it on your jewelry for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with water and dry it with a cloth. Good as new!
