JOANN
Joann supports her mother, her sister, and her nieces and nephews at their mud-walled home in the Kinawataka slum outside of Kampala, which is grueling but gratifying. She loves being close to family and friends. Her income from Tuli helps her to cover lodging, food, education, and medical expenses for she and her family.
Her dream is to one day be a teacher so she can work with young people. To do that, she'll need to polish her English and finish school, and she's currently saving away money to do so.
