Oliver and her three children live in the Acholi Quarter, a slum outside of Kampala inhabited by people displaced by war in northern Uganda. Her children, Angel, Marie, and John, love trying to help their mom make jewelry, so she usually gives them some scrap paper and beads to play with as she works.

Oliver's dream is to educate her children and one day, to own land. She loves growing her own food, so she hopes to grow maize and corn in the backyard of her own home.
