Charcuterie boards are everywhere these days, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Savory snacks with aesthetic delivery? Yes please.
I’m living for this fresh take on the board. Using breakfast foods, fresh berries, and an arrangement of complementary spreads like syrup and Nutella, you’ll be the hit of happy hour.
Even better? Traditional charcuteries take at least some planning (unless you always have a kitchen stocked with fancy cheese and tiny pickles, in which case, are you looking for roommates?). This breakfast charcuterie board can be made using things you likely already have at home. In fact, I made it last minute, after my plans to eat a frozen pizza in front of the TV turned into hosting unexpectedly.
To make, place bowls for syrup, yogurt, and spreads on your board where you’d like them. Then, cook some mini pancakes as your base and arrange them in the main pattern for your board.
You can then fill in the spaces between this foundation with eggs (we went with hard boiled!), bacon, or any of your other breakfast faves. Fill in the gaps with fresh berries and fruits.
This is undoubtedly the fastest board I’ve ever made, and it got a ton of compliments for its novelty. Which breakfast foods are your must-haves? I think I’ll add cinnamon rolls next time.
